Really

Proverbs 19:2

It is dangerous to have zeal without knowledge,
and the one who acts hastily makes poor choices.

Really

“Pick up your cross and follow Me”, words of great importance

“Crucified with Christ”, is a major part of the Gospel’s cry

Why are we surprised when we give up fame and fortune?

When things don’t go our way seems far from crucified

What do we expect when we so-called follow Jesus?

A beautiful bed of roses with troubles far away

And in such neglect the faith that will praise us

That shows up in works which lift us every day

Are we afraid to suffer or let the world hate us?

Are we searching in directions for an easy way out?

Is Christ our buffer or do we let time waste us?

With self-imposed priorities that fail without a doubt
