Realization(sort of)

Life is simple

Life is hard

Life is brilliant

Life is dark

We always experience the brightness first

Before being hit with the worst

When I was young when I used to think

That the world revolved around me

Every day was a new adventure in an unknown land

I was told I could do anything by my own hand

But reality sings a different song

Than a kid with a dream

But Internet shifts life to a different theme

One can wonder

What’s the point of playing a piano?

A two year old can play it better you know?

What’s the point of doing well in school?

There’s always someone better, in the applicant pool

The point, one learns, is to enjoy life

Despite all pain and strife

In this game, we only have one turn

To make a future, or watch it burn

The system we live in is not forgiving

And is fraught with things to cause misgivings

But the world ahead is still ours to take

Let’s just hope that this too, is not fake

Me
Our world
