Read Between the Lines

Location

They say that love is blind

Although

I am not sure why, considering that

We

As humans seem to

Have

A fixed expectation of ideal perfection,

Grown

From a culture of long lasting insecurity, which as a result has been tearing us

Apart.

Although we have periods of stability,

Like

The calm before the storm,

The

Sea of emotions that are constantly

Shifting

Leave my heart to shatter like filthy

Plates

Thrown viciously against the walls and on to the floor.

Of

Course nothing can truly be achieved without a struggle, but

The

Intensity of your temper seems to persist to the ends of the

Earth.

They say that the past should be left behind, but

I

Still remember wondering to myself:

“Will

Anything ever get better?” And even now I can’t help but find myself

Always

Asking these kinds of questions, asking if I even deserve

Love;

If I ever even deserved

You.
