Raingirl

I wonder if she still sees me

as I do

As the girl in the rain

Crying silently

Tears scarring the earth

in small rivers

There are times when I think she does

And my heart breaks

Because I was naive

and sad

The rain was my comfort

And now she's a part of my life

She's there

And she's nice

She's trying to help me from the rain

But I'm already soaked

Drenched in perspiration

and anger

But if she does see me this way

She doesn't tell

What could she say that would

Hurt me, now?

Nothing...nothing at all.

Yet I still feel the same

Stuck in the rain

crying my heart away.
