No one critiques a rainbow.
It's bright array
and the brilliant creation
Of unique colors are welcome
To every human eye.
It's beauty never challenged
By the heated words
And vicious violence
While passing by on streets.

What about me?
Is it that my color, not found among
The glorious band, that would cause
Such hatred towards me?
That I so unjustly receive the
Abuse, pain, and punishment.
Does the color of
My skin determine that I don't
Belong equally among other colors?

What about them?
Why are they chosen to be
Beautiful, and accepted when, like
Me, can't be seen in a rainbow?
While they receive praise and
Prizes they don't deserve.
Does their color
Demand superiority above me
To which mine will never hold?

What if everyone
Was a color of a rainbow?
Do people class red's from purple's in priority?
Is it forbidden and hated if a red and a yellow
Created an orange?
Would the abuse and fright of
So many people continue out of differences?
Or will everyone, like a rainbow's colors,
Be seen and treated equal among the rest?
