Rain On Me

Rain on me, why don't you world

Break my heart and give me peril

Falling rain, like teardrops from my eyes

Soak me in tragedy and pain

Take it back, you can't

Stab me with your voice of lightning

Pound me with the thunder of your words

I can't take it

I am flipped inside out and thrown away

Rain on me, why don't you world

Then a gleam of light in the clouds

The Son always there

I couldn't see beyond the rain

Rain on me, Lord, Rain on me

Rain on me your grace and mercy

My innermost being is broken

But Rain on me, Lord

Your reign is forever

Your rain is healing

Not lightning to damage

Not thunder to destroy

Rain to restore and sanctify

Rain on me, Lord, Rain on me.
