Radiant shadows

Tue, 04/24/2018 - 12:35 -- Neftee

A rock falling lopsided through space.
Yet, we the tenants of such an obscurity,
Consider ourselves to be the makers of God.
With black powder and fossil fuels we go rushing through the blackness,
Hoping to shine our light into a universe already polluted with beauty far beyond our greatest designs.
We are an arrogant bunch for sure.
We will never find peace.
The speceise that expands beyond its home will not be mankind as we are.
If we wish to grow we must change.
We are dynamic,
And luminous Dispote our bleakness.
We are not doomed,
Just destined to change.
And God willing change we will.
