started from a phone call
sound of my girl's voice full of fright
i felt like kicking somebody's ass and continue to fight
she spoke about what happen
a driver tailgating
no remorsing
hitting the back of my girl's car like nothing
felt disgusted
exasperated
focused
reminded
of the importance of setting by example
addressing racism is original and not stolen like a record sample
karma comes back
i'm glad she was alive
i gave god a high five

another phone call
it was my girl's 2nd outreach
this time, an angry driver
never turned on the blinker
she's a stinker
car pulls up
white chick calling my girl
nigger
you fuckin nigger
my girl assaulted driver with a weapon
not with a gun
but with her mind
she was very wise
trusted her own advice
as she was being followed
pride she swallowed
safety more important
drove to police station
my girl reported incident
oh my-what a coincident
driver hauled out cowrardly
she made it home safely
she called me fearlessly
i reassured her by reminding how much i love her unconditionally
karma comes back
