Ra
Ra
Your eyes dawn on me
As I dawn on you
Your existence dark without
Your purpose bound in me
You owe your thanks to me
I give you all your credence
Without me you are lost
Disposable, at best
You want me to care
To sling my arm through yours
That others might see
Our camaraderie and rapport
Hordes clamber to shake my hand
But I’m weary of this pledge
I see in the trembling eyes
Faltering faith, distrust
So after all I’ve given you
I’ll take away, full stop
Your meaningless without my nod
Don’t misstep around this God
