Questions

lost in fear and so distraught

never doing what you ought

lost in sight and lost in mind

the world seems to respond in kind

battle on, my weary child

chained you are within the wild

cast them off your skin and bones

cast away your dreadful woes

the rain patters

on the mind

of the fallen

in the night

giving wisdom

to the broken

within reason

through the strife

break apart, do not conform

you will leave yourself so worn

the bane of your existence

leaves no resemblance

of your life’s past

but guarantees that it will last

the truth patters

on the mind

of the fallen

in the night

raising questions

to deceivers

for a sign

of their vice.
