A Questioning for Change
Location
What did you say
when the ink was etched into the skin of many,
pale, fragile, souls locked away for a difference in belief?
What did you feel
when the two mechanical beasts in the sky light,
low, and lean, stabbing the two peaks, falling like a leaf?
Are you the one
when finally seeing love in this violent, atrocious world,
deny its existence from a fault of birth, like a theif?
I cannot change a fault that has been here since the death of Abel.
Violence, hatred, disgust, all started with a label,
yet we are not objects, don't treat us as one,
Love as brothers, sisters, daughters, and sons.
But...
Easier said
than done...
