Quel Night

Location

Quel night, those timber windy woods and plains of shushing grasses

The sky is very still while the earth slowly passes.

Nothing stirs, no bird nor bear, across the country’s dim

The caves of night conceal more silent song within.

A glow, a glow! There wakes the moon, a blessed eye indeed,

Then all the creatures of the dark on fantasy shall feed.
