Que Viva Cristo Rey:The Story of Blessed Jose Sanchez

Location

They took me as prisoner

And locked me away

All the while I shouted,

QUE VIVA, CRISTO REY!

The guards confronted me with anger

They knew I would not be swayed

Because even more, I proclaimed,

QUE VIVA, CRISTO REY!

The general chained me up

And tortured me as I laid

And I screamed even louder,

QUE VIVA, CRISTO REY!

With my feet sliced, I walked

With the gaurds breaking glass in my way

And even more, I prayed

QUE VIVA, CRISTO REY!

I had once last chance

I was standing in my own grave

With a gun pressed against my head, I whispered

QUE VIVA, CRISTO REY!
