Quarters

If I had a quarter,

for every tear shed by an overworked student.

For every cup of coffee consumed to keep eyes open.

For every hour wasted on homework.

For every F.

For every emotional breakdown.

For every picture of an assignment.

For every "wandering eye" during a test.

For every student who is severely depressed because of the unrealistic expectations that our teachers, parents, and college administrators have cast on us...

I wouldn't sit at a desk for 7 hours a day, now would I.
