Promising Love
Maybe if I carved a smile into my skin
only then will you be able to show the
love you never had within...it funny how
pain can...sometimes bring the joy out of
people...and if you ask me to cry you a
river then I will be utterly confused,
because if we cry salty tears yet a river is
fresh water then I just won't know what
to do...you ask me to do the most
impossible suffering...yet you show
your sympathy when a drop of my own
blood hits the pavements only to turn
your cheek again to the world because you
crave it...welcome to the lukewarm
society. Where innocence paints the walls
more than the lipstick of the devils
nectar...and as your perfumed skin
touches my face that has rained
floods from clear windows...you smile
as if God himself has anointed your head
with oil...and the only words...
the only words that my mouth can form
are...I don't care who I am to you...
because unlike others I am not afraid
to love you...in a society who...
forgot to

Wow. Speechless. This brought tears to my eyes in such a beautiful connection. Some of the phrases I personally connected with were:
it funny how
pain can...sometimes bring the joy out of
people...and if you ask me to cry you a
river then I will be utterly confused,
because if we cry salty tears yet a river is
fresh water then I just won't know what
to do..
