Promises

Ecclesiastes 5:4

4 When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it;
For He has no pleasure in fools.
Pay what you have vowed—

Promises made in the heart: Are they hard to keep?

Words uttered in confusion: Are they not to be kept?

What pours from the lips: Doesn’t it show the need?

Imprints of thought within: Are they not to be fed?

Are all unexpected issues to be called accidents?

Is not life a pathway designed His Own Way?

Are not the ups and downs to be taken as a friend?

Is not the purpose of it all to embrace the One Who paid?

A coat of different colors woven by the Hand of God

To appear in unison for the Master’s use

All of the same importance designed as a rainbow

And to show all mankind the ways of self-abuse
