Procrastination

Location

There's something about waiting that make keeps me doing it.

If there's a project assigned, there is usually a month that comes with it, just for keeping it off to the side.

The only problem is when every teacher desides to have their projects due at the same time.

The teachers probably all come together to deside on one date to have everything due, just so that they can watch us students scramble just to get everything done.

I have a friend who had this exact experience.

He decided to keep pushing things off to the side until he realized that they all had the same due date!

But it was too late.

He pulled an all nighter just to get everything done, and this was in highschool where all nighters are not common at all!

Now, I have not had an experience like that before, because I'm a bit smarter.

I try to manage my time the best that I can.

But I still have this urge to keep procrastinating.

I have tried in the very recent past to get things done early, but I have had no success whatsoever.

And now my senior year is boiling down to an end and there is so much for me to do.

I have a final project in every class, I need to study for my finals, I am looking for a summer job, preparing for graduation, and trying to rack up as many scholarships as I can.

With all this on my plate, you'd think I would have the sense to space things out, maybe get some things done early.

But no!

I just keep things off to the side.

Its like a competetion; Let's see how close to the deadline I can wait before I deside to do a project.

But one good thing that I have learned from all this is that I work extremely well under pressure.

I have yet to turn in an assignment late, or even forget to do an assignment.

There is something that I am begining to realize, though: my dream job is not going to wait.

That is something that I cannot put off to the side.

Many people have waited, procrastinated, and they loose their opportunity.

There are many other people who have realized this and have something to say about it:

"You may delay, but time will not." Benjamin Franklin

"The follies which a man regrets most in his life are those which he didn't commit when he had the opportunity." Hellen Rowlend

"Every second is of infinite value." Johann Wolfgang

If I really want my dream job, I cannot wait.

I spend most of my time waiting!

Now it is time for me to take it!
