ProChoice?! But it's MY LIFE!

Hello Mommy, I'm here waiting.
You found me yesterday; this is exciting.

You don't know me yet, but I know you.
I can feel your love so strong and true.

Thank you mommy for bringing me here.
I can't wait 'til you hold me and call me 'dear'.

I feel your fingers caress me while I rest in your womb.
What an amazing feeling mommy, I'll be there soon.

Mommy, I love it when you sing to me.
It makes me feel free and happy.

You tell me my name will be Roselyn Joy.
What a beautiful name mommy, but I'm a boy!

You talk to me every day about the fun we'll have.
You tell me how excited you are to tell my dad.

You say he'll be happy, but you sound unsure.
Won't he be happy mommy? I feel insecure.

Today is the day we tell daddy! Here we go!
You look beautiful mommy. He'll be happy for sure.

What is happening mommy?! Why is he yelling?
Ow! Mommy! He hurt me! Now you are crying!

Please stop daddy! Can't you see?
You are hurting mommy and me!

Is he gone mommy? It's so quiet.
Oh mommy, he was so mean.

Please don't be sad mommy. We'll be okay, won't we?
We'll get through this mommy, you will see.

Mommy, you don't sing to me anymore.
I'm still here mommy. No! You're not a whore.
You're my mommy and I couldn't ask for anything more.

I still love you mommy. Do you still love me?
Can't you just talk to me mommy?! Please!

Try to remember the things you told me.
About our snuggle time and my baseball games.
About all those diapers you can't wait to change.
About our future house and happy life.
About my girlfriend and future wife.
About my future job and my wedding.
About your grandchildren and rotten spoilings.

Try to remember the life we will have.
Why let them be spoiled by my dad?

Are we going somewhere today, mommy?
Where are we going and why are you crying?
You don't touch me anymore mommy.
Here, here's my hand. Can you just touch it mommy?
I love you! I love you mommy. Know that mommy.

Why are we in a waiting room? Are we going to see that nice lady again?
I liked her mommy. Can we see her again?
Who is that mommy? It doesn't sound like that nice lady mommy.
She sounds mean and unhappy. I don't like this place mommy. Can we please leave?

It's really uncomfortable when you lay on your back. Are they going to check on us mommy?
OH MOMMY! OH NO! THAT HURTS! MAKE THEM STOP MOMMY! WHY DON'T YOU SAY ANYTHING?! DO SOMETHING MOMMY! AGH! IT HURTS! PLEASE MOMMY HELP ME! HELP ME MOMMY! MAKE IT STOP! IT HURTS SO MUCH!

Hello Mommy. I'm okay now.
It's okay Mommy, God told me what what you did.
It's okay Mommy, it doesn't hurt anymore, really.

But why did you do it mommy? We were so happy.
I know daddy didn't want me, but why did you stop wanting me too?
We were so in love mommy. I felt it. I was so amazing. So beautiful.

I forgive you mommy. I do. I am so sorry for you mommy.
I love you mommy. Just know that I love you.

This poem was inspired by a teen that I hold very dear to my heart and by the lies that hide behind abortion. For those seeking an abortion, you can't undo a pregnancy. Once you are pregnant you will forever be a mother. After an abortion, you'll just be the mother of a dead baby. It doesn't take the pain away, but makes it worse. Just as my dear one and many others have found out.
