Privileged Passion

Location

you’re royalty of poverty

they way you shine your beautiful

dirt faced smile

how you hold your head high

to feel like you’re on the level of the wealthy.

but you’re hurting your neck from looking up

to them aren’t you?

what’s it like to be the overlord

of the needy?

you have too much ego my dear

because you insist on

denying the fact you’re craving

for a soft spot in your life

you must be amaurotic in terms of love.

you’ve had it plenty of times;

holding your hand,

looking in your eyes,

giving you gentle kisses,

held in your arms,

smack dab in front of you.

but you insist that love just can’t be that easy to find.

have you ever considered yourself fortunate?

that so many times

the creator of all has placed in your presence

those who cherish, adore, and treasure you.

but its impossible for you isn’t it?

im sure you feel like nothing good

could ever happen to

the prince of disbelief.
