Pride

Fri, 05/03/2013 - 08:30 -- Kessler

Be careful where you are stepping
It’s hard to see with your chin so high
And be careful not to look so deep
Into the blueness of the sky
Keep your mind on planet earth
Not in the chimera of your heroics
And focus on the world around
Instead of your narcissistic antics
Your ego is awfully inflated
Don’t float off into the clouds
You already look down enough
On everyone around
Your mouth is one that never stops
Yet speaks no words of humanity
You fill your ears with self-praise
And bask in your endless vanity
Keep marching in your fool’s parade, oh lion
Be blinded by your golden mane
And roar about how wonderful you are
As crowds gather to curse your name.
