Predator

You've been to a hundred humbling homes
You've seen the faceless uncovered rotting bones
The teeth clicking clacking crushing cold
Spit soaring from parted painted lips of rose
You've seen a beast without its protective hide
Empty, soulless, and vulnerable inside
You've growled in warning at humans drawing too near
Casting them away in abstract fear
Your yellow claws shining with light
As you become hunter and helper that night
Snapping jaws come cross to play
Fearful creatures fade away
They flee
And chances are the chase is on
There's never been a game you have not won
