The Precipice of Oblivion

Bureaucratic liars hand out commands

Empty-headed sheep obey

Free-thinkers get shot by men in blue

Or get locked up in walls of grey

The masses sever the tongues of the few

The loudest talkers get their say

Non-conformers get beaten in the streets

And the fearful walk by the display

Standing at the precipice of oblivion

Watching the futureless children play

Choking down the soot filled air

Unable to find my own way

You may grow, the world may rearrange

But the blade of a knife and the barrel of a gun will always be the only way of change

Society is just you versus me

And unity is dead

The pursuit of justice and equality is my motivation

My hope for humankind will not go unsaid
