The Power of Words

Words written in a book,

Pages nice and clean.

Who knew paper and pencil,

Had such impact at age fifteen?

 Taken to another world,

To places whom one could be heard.

Living innumerous lives on a daily scale,

All with a desired continuation from prevail.

Nothing standing in the way,

Nothing to break the bond.

The young girl knew,

She had time to respond.

Respond to the thoughts,

Respond to the change.

Respond to the words,

That were hidden within each page.

One page, two pages, three pages, four,

Fear within the young girl, was no more.

Now with exposed confidence,

Comes unidentified greatness.

Floating through the pages,

As if they were to strengthen.

Strengthen who she’d be,

Strengthen what she’d do.

Strengthen all the matters,

That lead her straight to new.
