Power to the People ✊🏽

"King pointed to the mountain top and we ran up...His power was the people." -Common. They judge based off the melanin in our skin. We can't help we were born different. We also can't let your opinion keep us under you. Martin Luther King found a equal path for us and we took it. His power was us, those who followed him. "I am not throwing away my shot..." - Lin Manuel Miranda. I will not give up because society thinks I'm some ghetto black child who doesn't know what she's doing. I refuse to let the world see me as a "hood-rat" with no home training. And for the thugs that claim they want equal rights too, you're part of the goddamn problem. You're a bunch of hypocrites. It's ridiculous that you don't want to be seen as a thug, yet you're on the corners every day. "We know the key to unify all people is in the dream that you had so long ago that lives in all of the hearts of people." -Stevie Wonder. Referring to Dr. King, he had a dream that his 4 black children would one day hold hands with 4 little white children. His dream came true, but not everywhere, and not enough. Rosa Parks. Little Rock 9. John Lewis. Coretta. Langston. Nat. Harriet. Sojourner. Ida B. Malcolm. Kobe. They laid down paths. It's up to us to take them. It's white people's fault it came to this, of course. But it's our fault we're not trying to make anything better. Black Panthers, we out. Power to the People.
