Power of Love

There are two people, I call them mom and dad.

They've watched me grow in so many ways.

I was taught how to love, forgive, and never do anything bad,

and I know I can always go to them when my lifes gone ablaze.

I have been told many times how I have changed their world,

they call me their "blessing" and I know that it's true.

When they first saw me all tiny and curled,

They couldn't help but look at me and coo.

Little do they know that I'm the one whos lifes been changed,

without them, my inner light would have never shined so bright.

I thank my lucky stars each day, that I have parents who are a little deranged.

They both sacrificed so much before this little girl knew how to write.

Their dream is both being enbodied in me,

and that is to be the best I can be.

So thank you mom and dad for all that you do,

because without you my inspiration wouldn't have come true.
