The power of Home

Location

South Africa

Home to me is not a place

Home to me is a person

Relaxing embrace, makes me feel safe

Your smile lifts my burdens

I did not know true happiness

Until I first met you

Euphoria washes over my body

Every worry is subdued

Brown eyes, speckled green

Your soul a burning light

Rough hands, but soft voice

You are my favorite sight

Nothing else seems to matter

When I’m with you pointless worries are unfurled

Your hand on mine is all that counts

It’s you and me against the world

What I do for you cannot compare

To how you affect me

I am enlightened, free, and powerful

For you, you are my home.
