The Power of Flaws

To the people around me My flaws are abundant Limitless, astounding, and blaring Like the sound of a siren's scream However, to me They are beautiful creatures Ready to fly and ready to be Ready to take off in the world As if they battle like soldiers On the lands of our fathers' fathers They are chemists and writers And not one is alike There's the tiny voice in the back of my head Saying, "You can't do this." There's the scars of my hands that say, "You can if you try." There's my heart, who is broken Who is afraid to come out My bold opinions That usually scream out They are flaws Every one of them But the power of flaws? You soon realize, you are you With those flaws They make you who you are No matter how short or how tall How thin or how plump Your hair color, your skin color Whatever you consider your flaw The power of flaws is to create something Flawless
