Poetry to Life

For me poetry isn't just simple words on paper

Those knawing thoughts inside my mind I said to save for later

Until one day I realized that no longer could I live

With another me screaming and yelling even though there was nothing I could give

I used to think that I could live relying on my own

But I'm not grown I should have known those words are ever powerful still

There's something that just keeps drawing me to the page

The rhythm and flow pours right out like water with no gauge

Never will I stray again from this powerful art

That lets me be the real me with nowhere to start
