Poetry

What is her name?

She’s not my friend

I admire her from a distance

So powerful and graceful

From afar, she is perfect

Afraid, I’m not good enough

To talk to her

To relate

To share stories

My friend asks

But why not?

Why not try and fail

You learn that way

Each time

I open myself up

More fear dissipates

There is freedom

In vulnerability

One day I got to know her name
