Poem 1

I feel as if I'm just a compliment to your existence. I feel that if our love were to be defined in colors, it would simply be black and white.

We, are two different kinds.
As if on a canvas, you will be the drawn as the stars that illuminate the sky. I again will become the background that brings out the shine of your purity. I am nothing but your shadow. I follow you wherever you go, because of the fact that, if I were to lead you, we would be destined for an imitable fate.
We are just simple colors you and I. And whether or not you realize this now. I have become a thread that has wrapped itself gently around your pinky. I am more simple than your very being.
As I watch you walk your path for a better inhabitation I will simply walk behind you. Because you are bound to follow the white light that guides you to your purpose that you only can grasp with the tenderness of your fingers.

But I am holding you back.

I would like nothing but to walk beside you but who am I to hinder your focus? I can never be as selfish as to walk with you but overwhelming happiness boils deep within my core by just simply following you.

And as you look back to remember your past, to dig up the bones that you had purposely buried for the soil, to find advice in their pretense.... I hope you also look back and see beyond the night and find me obediently trailing behind as your shadow.
I hope you remember that if you ever may come back, I will stay in the very same spot till you return.
And when you return, let me consume you in my abyss of imperfection and insecurity.
Let man take hold of his paint brush and simply plaster you throughout the darkness of my landscape. Let me become the darkness that makes you shine bright to your full potential, let me be what compliments your very being.
Just like on the pitch black canvas.... Become my stars. Become the illumination I need. Show me that things are better seen with light . And introduce me to the other side of happiness. Make me forget my loneliness as an empty sky.
