playing outside

All my life they’ve taught me to be clean,

Wash my hands while singing the ABCs.

But what if I really like dirt?

Sorry but I swear it won’t hurt!

Nice shoes cramping my style,

But barefoot in the mud?

Now this is living!

White pants covered in “earth tie dye”

So Jeans are easier to hide stains on.

Swimming pools crowded and chemically?

I’ll swim in a river, lake, or stream.

Skirt flying up when I climb high

So shorts it is because I gotta get to the top.

In the end I just have to be me

Wear what I want so I can do as I please.
