On the Playground

Sat, 10/19/2019 - 12:06 -- kgshear

Billy laughed and played,

Having fun with the other kids.

I asked why they were happy.

They didn’t understand.

Justin was on the swings.

He stared at the ground

and clenched his fists.

I left him alone.

I came across Molly.

Molly said she loved her brother

She asked where he went.

I didn’t know.

Mrs. Shy came to me

and wiped my wet cheeks.

I didn’t know I was crying.

Why am I crying?

Her fault

Mommy called it.

She’s the one who bought it.

They still took him away.
