Poetry
Flourishes like a tree,
Expanding it branches,
Reaching, stretching
Trying to expand
Leaves form
Blossoms bloom
Yielding and unyielding
Good fruit and bad fruit
Either to be picked or to wither away
It’s a constant cycle
Words utter to be heard
Letters desire to be etched into skin
Ideas fluttering in the air seeking to be absorbed
Thoughts churning round and round
In my case
The seed was planted long ago
Growing within me for many years
Trying to root my soul
Unearth my spirit
The soil became soft
Giving season to new life
Renewing the power of poetry
