Plain Jane

If everyone is dressed in bright colors

   And spontaneous personalities

But I'm just normal old me

  Don't I stand out?

  I mean,

  If everyone is different

And I'm the same different as someone else's different

Because I don't know who me is

  Even when everyone else does

  Don't I stand out?

  Sure,

I'm broken and scared and colorless

And I don't fit in with the uniqueness

And I'm not the smartest or the brightest

Or the strongest or the bravest

But I'm just, you know, me

  Don't I stand out?

I'm colorless in a sea of color

  But I'm still standing out

And being plain seems alright to me.
