The Pitfalls of Man

The pitfalls of man, though shallow, stay darkened;

shit on the heel

and heel on the breath.

Breathe it all in, our words the worlds have not harkened.

The salting of men, who when wet could not drink,

Willing their time,

timing their wiles,

while Sol missed us all because he had blinked.

The star of the show, performs then burns out

Washed up ashore.

Assured no encore,

Antares weeps, then turns to watch the black hole turn out.
