A Photo Taken

The first picture of everyone is when being unaware.

Unborn and safe within a beautiful lady you have yet to know,

A machine, and a doctor.

Pictures document a person’s mile stones.

One can see themselves grow.

I can’t remember all events in my life in detail.

A picture can.

It can revive you to that day of the picture.

It has slowed down my time in life.

More appreciative.

The people in a photo taken,

In that moment will never be the same.

They have shown me how far I’ve come.

April 4, 2013 the date of a photo.

The day my life changed.

To seeing my brother wither away,

Into someone small and afraid.

The day I accepted the Lord.

The photo that now brings tears of joy,

After many years of sadness.

I have seen how far I’ve come.

To everything crash and burning,

To May 8, 2015 a picture of a new life.

To 2018 a year, of thankfulness

A new series of pictures.

More to come.
