The Phenomenal Cousin

Mon, 02/15/2016 - 20:22 -- cmiller

Growing up the only child was;

Lonely.

No one to play dolls with

No one to argue with; it was just:

Lonely.

Being the only child taught me

to value relationships.

Cousins.

See she isn’t just a

"Cousin".

She was

She is

THE Cousin.

The Cousin who owned hands

that would wipe tears off my face.

The Cousin I would get into trouble with.

The Cousin that brightens up my world

in the darkest hours.

She isn’t just my aunt’s daughter;

she is my Cousin;

My other half.

The other half that makes the wise decisions.

The other half that makes the world go round.

The other half that picks me up when I'm down.

Without that other half;

Cousin

I’ll just be

Lonely.
