Phases

Watch the faces

Make my paces

Through the eyes of a girl torn in two

from the side of a life that fell right through.

She tells herself cheer up, stand strong

but inside she screams of all that's wrong.

Watch the faces

Make my paces

Through the temptation that breaks him

and the syrup that sedates him.

He sees his failures loud and clear

But drowns them out dilates in fear

Watch the faces

Make my paces

Tiring depseration brings out the worst with magnification.

We step through the doors unarmed and cooled

But leave heated with hate and tools.

We watch ourselves fail in full damnation

But do little to uplift true determination.

Watch the faces

Makes my paces

What's left is how we take these strides and push through phases

to overcome the spread of malice and temptation

to find ourselves through time and space

despite the obstacles that we face.
