Perspective from a doll

Imaginative Perspective from a doll
Alicia Silvers

She use to play with me every day.

She use to sleep with me at night.

She use to take me everywhere,

But now she's nowhere in sight.

I use to love to watch her smile,

But now I see her upset.

Once she was a loud, small giant,

But now she’s bigger and more silent.

I'm just an old and raggedy doll,

Sitting in the corner.

She glances at me from time to time

But she treats me like a foreigner.

I miss the little girl, who would play with me every day

But now she’s all grown up, and I’m slowing fading away.
