Perfectly Imperfect

Location

I look in the mirror
only to see a mosaic
put together with imperfections
I look down at my size 9 feet
Wishing they were a size 5
My eyes travel upwards
examining my huge thighs
Wishing they were smaller
Higher and higher
I stop for a second
and stare at my flabby stomach
Wishing it was toned
Higher and higher
only to see my small breasts
Wishing they were bigger
Finally, I look up at my face
Almost wishing it looked different
At that moment I realized
these imperfections
are what make me who I am
I am
perfectly imperfect
