Perfect Wasn't Good Enough

It was during those 547 days with you

When I unknowingly conformed to the ideals

Of a perfect girlfriend.

At least that's what you told me:

That I was "perfect".

Consequently, I began to feel

Especially confident in our future.

But in the blink of an eye,

I lost my future.

Just gone.

Surely because there was something

about me you didn't like.

But I thought you said I was perfect?

It was then that I realized:

Perfect wasn't good enough for you.
