Perfect Picture

I once heard a song about dressing to impress

putting on filters and leaving little to guess

how we smile so bright to make a few heads turn

reading all those articles that say "watch and learn".

I scoffed for a minute, "that could never be me"

but then a version of it was all I cold see

Perhaps this version was even worse than just dress

because it's not my appearance I thought was a mess

See, at first I was Kenzie, but then I was Mack

but she got tossed out to be put on the rack

Kenzily, Macaroon, Kat, they're not all the same

but Perfect Pictures I made since the real me was lame.

Soon I had more disguises than an agent in the CIA

Soon the old me had gotten lost along the way

and all because I felt like dressing to impress

not my body, but my whole self, I sadly confes

We have to remember that we're God's perfect pic

made in His image, we're worth more than a click

not just on the outside, but even more on the in,

and the only pic that really matter si the one we have with Him.
