Perfect January Day

Fine white powder blankets the ground

Disguising the barren trees

Puffy white pillows up in the sky

Shed snowflakes on this winter scene

The snowman cannot help smiling at us

Catching snowflakes on out tongues

Hot cocoa warms throats and marshmallows roast

As the cool crisp air fills our lungs

The owls wake up as we fall asleep

As the snow day slips away

Our footprints melt into the Earth

But the memories are here to stay

This poem is about:
My family
Our world
