"Perfect"

Location

There aren't enough words

To fully capture

The beauty of the light

Shining off your hair

As you lie beside me

In the morning.

My vocabulary doesn't stretch

Into far enough horizons

To begin to describe

The depth of the oceans

Located in your eyes

And the way that the waves

Crashed against the shore

And drowned me in them

Every time.

The human language

has never dove the depths

Of everything about you

Or even conquered

Any way to articulate

Everything about you.

"Beautiful"

Just scrapes the surface

Of how you look

In your sweats

With your hair tied

Comfortable on the couch

Your smile radiating,

Brighter than the sun.

"Brilliant"

Isn't enough

To describe

The depths

Of your mind

Nor the sparkle

In your eyes.

And though I've tried

I haven't quite found

The words that fit you.

So I guess I'll settle with

The closes thing I can find,

"Perfect"
