Perception

Throughout life, it felt as if it were just a black hole

The black hole that takes away every inch of light out me

Leaving nothing but darkness

And so I walk this earth just marching to sea

Like those, with no purpose

As a child, I felt different

Questions every action

And trying to comprehend us

Every person does not take a step without their mind battling

You see a person does things for a reason, no matter how good or bad

A person who struggled finding friends sees the world different

A person who cannot control their dark mind, sees the world different

A person who had everything in life, sees the world different

So who are we to say a person's action is wrong

And so hearing the different type of rhythm and beat

Helped me understand the problems

Problems within ourselves

That have the tidal waves crashing among our eyelids

Not allowing us to open our eyes and see how wrong we have lived

But if you listen closely to the rhythm

You'll hear people

Battling to convey their story

Music, a powerful tool

Yet, so wonderful

Allows those who are struggling to stop open their eyes

To just listen to those marching to the sea

Music are words and rhythm our hearts desires to speak,

Without it, we have lost the voice

To express the different worlds we come from
