People talk about the defenseless, so reckless, can never trust again. With the nerve to wonder why we question the definition of a "best friend". What is a true best friend? Someone you tell your secrets to? Real secret is she's been disloyal all this time boo. Shoulda known you couldn't leave em alone cause you're too open and hopeless; now she's gone to tell the world that she fooled ya, pulled the wool over your eyes and blinded you with her lies and people talk.

People talk about their family exposing all the secrets, like did you know her father was her baby daddy? Yep, raped her and beat her, tears leaking like a faucet; scars deep, no sleep, you'd think that she lost it, but she's sane and wide awake just praying The Lord her soul to take. She knows she doesn't want to live the kinda life where she's too scared to sleep at night..but she looks into the eyes of her daughter and it makes her fight harder despite the stares and glares of people around her because she knows that they know since people talk.

Each day in the school yard people talk. About this and that and her and him. Never minding their own business, her only faithful whim. Male teachers harass her ask for what's within, the females fail her not understanding that she must give in. No one at home to love or even hug except the child she lives for but that's not enough, desperate for minor affection from even the lowliest thug. People talk, the teachers say she'll fail - unaware that their job is to assist in maturation, and help their students prevail. Proclaim that her future is empty, as well as her child's because its "her own fault for getting pregnant", "shouldn't have been so buck loose and wild". They gossip in the lounge, while they work in spite and sometimes I wonder WHY entrust our children's future to these type of people in hopes that they turn out right?

Jacqueline had heard people talk, day in and day out. She knows she's the topic of conversation and what they're talking about. Never the type to take a stand in her own defense, but remain silent as she tends to her business. She hears it everyday and her only question is: why do people who know nothing about her have so much to say?
