Pedestrian
As I walk down the lonely, abandoned street, I see old, unpolished houses trying to stand still as if it’s about to fall apart any second.
As I walk down the lonely, abandoned street, I hear the laughter of young children and the whispers of old people from nearby houses.
As I walk down the lonely, abandoned street, I was hit by the sudden fresh, cold air from the south. I smell the sweet, hot mashed potatoes from the oven on my right.
As I walk down the lonely abandoned street, I taste the coldness and emptiness of the air.
As I walk down the lonely abandoned street, I was once again reminded how lonely I was.
