Peace

A word.

One word.

It enters through my ear,

It wiggles through my mind,

It joins all the others.

It slips into my blood,

And travels down my body

And wraps itself around me.

So tight,

I feel the need to release the pressure.

I find piece as I sever the words' ties.

But look,

my life is flowing out after the words,

and suddenly.

Darkness.

The lights are out,

and no one's coming home.
