Pay No Mind.

Pay No mind
To the flesh behind porcelain
For it is weak and breakable.

Pay no mind
To the tears behind the glass
For they are as old as the moons themselves.

Only pay mind
To the perfectly painted portrait
Of a girl unafraid
A girl unbroken
A better version of me

For behind the mask
Shattered pieces stay
Suspended by too much glue
Glistening from too much salt water
Reflecting too many lies

So do not look too closely
For these are places the mark wears thin
Places the truth vies to find sunlight
Places the truth tries to ruin the act

Pay no mind
To the girl behind the mask

Sit back and let the curtains fall
Let the show in as planned
Let the character tell what the actress knows

Let me hide in peace.
