As A Passion

Passion.

An object of desire or deep interest.

What do you do in the middle of the night when you can’t seem to rest?

Do you drink? Do you smoke? Do you watch TV?

Do you play a video game? Do you write poetry?

I guess

It doesn’t matter. We all have got our thing.

And for me, sometimes I end up doing all those things

That I listed.

See poetry isn’t my only passion.

I maybe write something once a month.

Or 12 poems a day.

I don’t live a poet’s life. My poetry is not cliché.

But there are some similarities that I’m sure we share.

And that’s the feelings that we get and the pride that we bare.

Sometimes I go against myself and write a line that won’t rhyme.

But why?

In my head it sounds bad almost all the time.

So when I write I try to fall in love with myself all over again.

When it comes to writing poetry you have to be your own biggest fan.

Because poetry is something that comes from the heart.

The soul.

My heart flutters and my mind just goes.

I see the way I’ve grown and the way I’ve evolved.

All from writing poetry and sticking to my own resolve.

It’s not every day that I write or share my poetry.

But my poetry is my passion and it is important to me.
